How Stupid Is Ann Coulter?

I came across this partial transcript of an interview Ann Coulter had on the CBC news program The Fifth Estate. Try to imagine that someone this ignorant of recent history has a prominent position as pundit, author, spokesperson and critic of liberals.

Coulter: "Canada used to be one of our most loyal friends and vice-versa. I mean Canada sent troops to Vietnam - was Vietnam less containable and more of a threat than Saddam Hussein?"

McKeown interrupts: "Canada didn't send troops to Vietnam."

Coulter: "I don't think that's right."

McKeown: "Canada did not send troops to Vietnam."

Coulter (looking desperate): "Indochina?"

McKeown: "Uh no. Canada ...second World War of course. Korea. Yes. Vietnam No."

Coulter: "I think you're wrong."

McKeown: "No, took a pass on Vietnam."

Coulter: "I think you're wrong."

McKeown: "No, Australia was there, not Canada."

Coulter: "I think Canada sent troops."

McKeown: "No."

Coulter: "Well. I'll get back to you on that."

McKeown tags out in script:

"Coulter never got back to us -- but for the record, like Iraq, Canada sent no troops to Vietnam."

I just can't explain that part.

Personally, I think she OD'd on the brown acid at Woodstock.....she took a trip and never came all the way back.

I have to say that when I first heard that she was a 'head, it occurred to me that then maybe her whole deal was some giant post-modern gag.. like a big put-on, a massive prank.

The first time I saw A. Coulter, She was on "The Daily Show w/John Stewart" a few years ago.

I knew their was something VERY wrong with that woman(?), when she was sitting down AS they came back from the commercial break. I think it was because Her skirt was Soooooooooo Short, that if she walked in, like every other guest always does, that she would have given the studio (and probably the Home audiance) a free show of her :puke:dick.

even if you're ignorant of history, logic should get you to the correct answer. Coulter: Arrogant, evil, asshole with some deep dark secret that makes her that way.

Sent them to a relocation assistance office, sent them to the unemployment office to sign up, sent them to the government registry to apply for residency, sent them to legal aid.....they sent our troops everywhere, except to Vietnam!!!

Canadians fighting as American troops. There were Canadian citizens who joined the US armed forces and fought and died in Vietnam. But no Canadian armed forces personnel were sent to Vietnam to the best of my knowledge.

Individual Canadians went to the States and joined the US forces and Canadians with dual citizenship living in the US were drafted by the Armed forces. Canada stayed 'neutral' re Vietnam but our hands were not clean in terms of Canadian corporations manufacturing and selling Agent Orange for the US.
