Leave Your Message For Fear Mongering AG John Ashcroft Here!

John Ashcroft Spreads A Little More Fear On His Way Out!
Here's a bit more fear mongering for the road. I assume the next step is to imply that Iran may be the ones to give it to them. Here we go again.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The possibility that al-Qaeda or its sympathizers could gain access to a nuclear bomb is the greatest danger facing the United States in the war on terrorism, Attorney General John Ashcroft said Thursday.

U.S. officials "from time to time" uncover evidence terrorists are trying to develop nuclear capability, Ashcroft said without providing any specifics. It is not clear whether they have made any progress, but the United States must take the threat seriously, he said in an interview with The Associated Press.

This guy is like a bad freaking rash. Get thee to private life you numb nuts. He is the best argument we have for stopping Gonzalez. We all remember the reservations we had. We did not stop him and we created a monster. We can not let that happen again!

So I offer this opportunity to leave a message for the creepy old bastard. Any thing you would say to John Ashcroft if you met him on the street (or in a dark alley)? Any warm regards for the guy on him way out?

Edited on Sat Jan-29-05 06:01 AM by progressiveright
let's try this one, may be it's time to stop gigantic tax cuts for the wealthy and corporate wellfare, and funnel some of that money towards securing our borders, expanding customs oversight, and getting our troops in iraq armor and our veterans some benefits, how's that for an argument?

Not mentioning securing our chemical and nuclear plants. gee, tax cuts for the wealthy and getting bridges and nuclear plants blown up, forcing chemical plants to adopt elementary security measures or losing campaign contributions, what a choice

2. Ashcroft.
"The possibility that al-Qaeda or its sympathizers could gain access to a nuclear bomb is the greatest danger facing the United States in the war on terrorism, Attorney General John Ashcroft said Thursday."

They probably are. From their al-Qaeda and company's point of view, it would be logical. That's why we have undercover agents, the CIA, etc. Are we supposed to cower in our homes every time the government starts stressing out over the possibility of a threat? I don't think so.

Remember the story about the little boy who cried "wolf" too many times? The U.S. government is coming very close to that point.

3. The most dangerous thing to this nation is you Mr. Ashcroft
and the utter incompetence with which you did not defend our constitution, our country, our laws or our freedom.

The day after you were confirmed as this nation's top law enforcement officer you reached for rock bottom and started to dig. You set low personal standards and then consistently failed to meet them. When ever you opened your mouth, it seems it was only to change whichever foot was previously in there. Most Americans can rest assured, now that you have resigned the post for which you proved time and time again that you were totally unqualified for, the village is finally getting it's idiot back.

6. Ouch My Freakin' Ears!
Every time I run into that I wish I could selectively drink the brain cells that remember it out of existence. Thanks for the link. I think I'll save a copy for posterity.

5. My message in the form of a greeting card poem

Dear Mr Ashcroft, permit me to say
I wish your pancreas had killed you that day

You rammed through an act called USA patriot
Yet all the while you're just a "Hate"-triot

You act like a tyrant, even jailed Tommy Chong
Yet on the internet I can still buy a bong

So, as your leaving, just let me say
I hope another organ...fails you...today!

10. Found a good interview on lookup...
I am familiar but I took some time to look around anyway and found an entertaining interview:

http://www.alternet.org/story/17378

-Snip-

WT: Any politicians you admire and would vote for in 2004?

DC: I will vote for -- it's really depressing to say it but it's just something I've resigned to and I'll have to swallow it -- whoever the Democratic nominee is. Nobody is going to be as bad for free thinking, right-minded individuals than George Bush. I don't want to see that motherf*cker in office when he doesn't have to do anything for political reasons. That's really scary. If this shit doesn't scare you now, when he's making concessions for political reasons, giving him another four years where he doesn't have to worry about being reelected, we are f*cked. We're hugely f*cked. And you better get yourself a Bible.

11. I was referring to a bit he did on
his double album. It's bookmarked as a classic for me. My son will be learning of it when he's old enough. It's pee your pants funny.
