......any more than I care if Condi started piano lessons at age 3.

Who cares? Neither of them is qualified for these cabinet positions.

2. funny thing about the Repukes.....

they hated the old "up by his bootstraps" story when it applied to Bill Clinton's life.
Now we're supposed to accept an avowed torturer for the highest legal position in the administration merely because he had an uphill climb.
But Clinton -- son of man who died while Clinton's mother was pregnant, victim of physical abuse from his stepfather, poor, left by mother to be raised by grandparents while his mom got a nursing degree yet still grew up to a Rhodes Scholar and twice-elected president --- was fair game.
