Is Lieberman the next Zell Miller? Video
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/02/03.html#a1488 has the video
The headline is facetious, but watching President Bush plant a kiss on Lieberman reminded me of the smooch McCain got on the top of his head during the campaign.I don't expect Sen. Lieberman to ever foam at the mouth(spit balls), but he seems to be backing every policy decision that the President makes. The latest is his support of Gonzales.

1. At least Miller isn't hurting us with his votes anymore.
Maybe Lieberman is going to enter the Rethug primary for '08.

2. Big historical mistake: Democrats who voted for Lieberman....

an alledged "centrist"... in his first run against the MUCH more progressive Republican Lowell Weicker. The country's been stuck with this wingnut extremist ever since.

Speaking of nuts...can't progressive nutmeggers mount a credible primary challenge? You know, I think that's what they have them for.

"Primaries". You get to help select the candidate of your party. Every state has 'em. What's up, Connecticut?

4. Incumbents don't face strong primary challenges
Now, if somebody with a lot of money wanted Lieberman out, it would be a different story.

7. It looked like he whispered in Joe's ear
Believe me, I hate Joe Liberman as much as most of the people here, but I saw the video, and it didn't look like a kiss to me. It looked like he leaned in close to whisper in Joe's ear.

8. Can't see Joe challenging Matthews to a duel
or even an arm-wrestling match! I think Zell is a bit ...um... CRAZY! Joe is just a sell-out.
