Wag the Dog in '06:
Condi already spelled it out...

Iran is the next wag the dog.

We've been violating their airspace with our fighters, scouting out their radar installations for targetting.

We're making the same tired claims about their nucular ambitions.

They are on both the axis of evil and the outpost of tyranny lists...

Here's how it goes. We get irrefutable evidence that they've 'reconstituted' their nuke program and are supporting pro-Shiite forces in Iraq in their factional battles vs. Sunnis, as well as supplying "terra-ists".

We tell them sternly in some public forum "stop working on nukes!" But although they protest and say they aren't, we can "prove" they're still working on them. Round about August of '06, (in time for the elections) we are forced to strike their nucular facilities with "surgical precision". They (unjustly and in cowardly fashion) lob a few poorly aimed scuds at our 'temporary' bases in Iraq, and kill a few thousand Iraqis or a few hundred US troops (either one works).

Our response must be strong, steadfast and we must "stay the course" against our avowed enemy, the Iranians. (see, we were just trying to keep the terrorist Iranians from getting nukes. They ATTACKED us.) Only staunch Republicans can save us, not mealy-mouthed waffling democrats!

Pearl Harbor, 9-11, Sinking of the Maine, Sinking of the Lusitania, Tonkin Gulf... whatever you want to call it, redux.

regrettably, the draft must be reinstated...
