and, especially, compared to other administrations?

And how many of these new jobs resulted from the largest expansion of a government in recent years, especially by a party that "supports" small government?

President Bush has narrowly escaped becoming the first president since Herbert Hoover to lose jobs on his watch.

Questions about the health of the nation's jobs market dogged Bush throughout his first term, and Democrats used the issue in the presidential campaign. Ultimately, the jobs situation and the economy weren't enough of a concern to deny Bush a second term.

All told, the economy generated a net gain of 119,000 jobs during the president's first term in office.

1. That'll look good in the presidential library exhibit
I can see the exhibit now:

CREATING JOBS

On President Bush's watch almost 120,000 new jobs were added to the economy.

2. just wait for the adjustment
in a month or two the adjustment and actual job figures will be much lower. The media whores will always cite the higher numbers.

3. Horseshit numbers. This is more WH propaganda for the networks while
the real numbers will come out later with NO discussion.
