I remember being at a bar in New Orleans when Chicago ripped New England a new one where we all had to stand up with a sense of enforced jingoistical "fun". It was during the time of war...I think. Felt that way anyway. Being at the bar and being in that moment was so distasteful in its sense of jingoism.
I never go to bars to see the Super Bowl again...
Anyone else bothered by the jingoistic enforced recreation one must do if you see this stuff in a bar? Maybe you suddenly are at a Super Bowl party now where you've been freeped...
