1. Kinsley's analysis on Franken's show was great.
As long as we're sure it will fail in the Senate, we don't have to put up as large of a fight in the House. When it fails in the Senate, we can turn around and use the R's House votes to beat them in '06. We have to drag this out as long as possible for maximum political points.

Now I get it, the basic issue.

if they dems would just change their rhetoric and use the new rhetoric across the board at all levels like the repubs do:

bush is financially INCOMPETENT
Repubs set out to DESTROY social security
Bush plan is an ATTACK on your children's futures
it is a BIRTH TAX of ??????trillion dollars

etc.

a coordinated attack framing the debate...by dems. umm, how likely is that :-(
