The Primary Wars...the cause for cessation and reconciliation

As a member of DU, I take great pride in the intelligence and passion of the debate of issues that go on here. But the continuation of "The Primary Wars" is truly counterproductive to all we should be doing.

For Pete's sake, the Primaries are over, the election is over, and the country is going to hell in a handbasket...why is anyone discussing what happened so long ago?

Learn from the mistakes of the past, and build the future on what you've learned, don't sit in the fog of the past and sulk or shout...move on! We've got to be working on the the '06 election and try to get the Senate and House back; can that be done by constantly rehashing the same old stuff?

For all sides involved, regardless of who you supported, I am asking, as a member of DU, for people to focus their energies on the future. If 50% of the energy and time expended on the "Primary Wars" were used to a more proactive cause to get retake Congress...we'd bowl the opposition over.

I know this is a passionate issue for some, sub-forums have been created to talk over these issues, but the passion you possess can bring us together in the fight against the tyranny the bush administration is implementing on us as these old arguments continue to resurface. Sometimes I take the 'Pogo' stance: "I have met the enemy, and the enemy is us". Let us make sure that does not become prophecy by finding our common bonds, as opposed to our divisive aspects.
