For the DNC and DLC conspiracy theorists
If the DNC or DLC are such powerful manipulators, why didn't we win more elections in 2000 (Gore), or the 2002 Senate races?

I'm not sure I even understand what the DNC/DLC conspiracy theories are, and who the supposed power players are that are controlling the marionette.

1. what kind of conspiracy theories are you talking about?
The DNC: http://www.democrats.org/

The Democratic Leadership Council: http://www.ndol.org/

"While anyone who is registered to vote as a Democrat is a member of the Party, there are 440 members of the Democratic National Committee.

The National Committee has 9 elected officers: The Chair, five Vice Chairs, Treasurer, Secretary, and National Finance Chair. Three Deputy Chairs are appointed by the Chair." -DNC

The DLC:

"The Democratic Leadership Council is an idea center, catalyst, and national voice for a reform movement that is reshaping American politics by moving it beyond the old left-right debate. Under the leadership of founder and CEO Al From, the DLC seeks to define and galvanize popular support for a new public philosophy built on progressive ideals, mainstream values, and innovative, non bureaucratic, market-based solutions. At its heart are three principles: promoting opportunity for all; demanding responsibility from everyone; and fostering a new sense of community."

Al From is the anti-union "visionary" of the group of pro-corporate elected Democratic "leaders".

The opposite of the DLC is probably the Progressive Caucus - http://bernie.house.gov/pc/.

There's no conspiracy or anything, it's all right out in the open!

3. Well, I'm trying to figure it out
There have been a lot of posts recently about the DLC wants this to happen. The DNC is trying to nominate Candidate X. The DLC is conspiring against candidate Z.

I just can't figure it out.
