Got to listen to another Repub moan and groan today...
My idiot sister-in-law came over to get her taxes done, since she's not capable of doing it herself. She said she was a "little bit" concerned about the direction Shrub was going with Social Security. And since both her adult children never finished high school, and have crappy jobs with no benefits, she is a "little bit" concerned about Medicare/Medicaid too.

I did have to toss in the remark that at least we didn't have to be too concerned about a war in North Korea right now, since our troops are rather busy in the Middle East with that "crisis".

Then I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Oh well, I claim no guilt regarding anything that will happen in the next 4 years, since I didn't vote for him."

Her silence spoke volumes...and made my day.

1. It's hilarious, isn't it?
Makes me pretty angry, too.

If someone said something like that to me...I'd glare a hole right through their head.

3. It's funny how now
they are starting to "worry." They didn't care at all about this stuff in the election and just cared about winning and being right. I say it serves them right. They voted for him so they should get what they desrved instead of listening to us. I don't feel sorry for them one bit.

2. Rather than be a "little bit concerned," I'd tell her to start writing. .
her Congresscritter and Senators and let them know that she's displeased with ShrubCo's direction. If these people begin to hear about the discord within their own ranks, they'll certainly begin reassessing any blind adherence they may feel towards the Pretzeldent, especially if they begin to feel it may be their job on the line in the next election.

Don't let Bush supporters hide their concerns and possible anger. Do your best to force them to make it known. It may be one of our best hopes in keeping a lid on ShrubCo's bubbling insanity.

5. Now there's a scathingly brilliant idea...
I doubt if she will do it, but others I know would. Come to think of it, how would our Republican Reps
even know if the author of such discord had actually voted for Bush?

6. They have their databases
I guarantee you that they have an idea. And if they are NOT sure then they absolutely must tread softly.
