Gannon / National Security Issue
How does someone with Guckert/Gannon's background and potential Blackmail aspect, get clearance in the White House? How does one with little or no journalist experience, be allowed to view classified documents?

How far up did this go? If the Secret Service ran a check that took Bloggers just a few days to dig up...find the same and yet all that was overlooked to allow this person in...can't be McClellan...Does he have that kind of pull to over ride the Secret Service? Has to be someone higher up.

Think guys think...McClellan can't be the one that would ok this, Secret Service is to protect the President. Who can over ride the SS to issue a clearance?

1. Who is gannon screwing???
that's is what this reeks of to me. I saw a look on that guy when he was shown on TV asking a question. I did not know who he was looking at, Bush or Scott, but he had a look and a flair of confidence. Who is he screwing? It is as simple as that, I believe.

3. Yep, And that would be the person that could overide the Secret Service
The one that could pull the strings on getting this person in the White house..you can't tell me that those up were unaware of Guckert/Gannon. He was allowed in there for a mission. Not as blackmail. I don't believe that.

2. He Gets Into The WH With No ID???
His drivers license and all that have his whore name, er, that is real name and yet he gets to be in the same room with the Prez? Kinda weird for such Nat'l Security Freaks, that is, unless they are all intimately aquaited with the man and didn't NEED his ID.

4. Worth a few calls to a few congresspeople...
Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 05:30 PM by calimary
www.congress.org has a good directory for everybody on the Hill - including their local and regional offices as well as the ones in Washington DC.

BTW, my congressman is Henry Waxman, and he's already gotten started on this. Not making a horrific amount of noise yet, but he's gotten started on it, at least. He may be one of those working with Conyers.

7. Thanks Calimary
I also think that this could be a bi-partisan issue..have to get the help of Republicans as well, the rare breed of Republicans with some sense of ethics.

Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 05:28 PM by calimary
there's the gay angle to this. An issue that makes some republi-CONS want to run screaming into the night.

What if we were to call a couple of those...

And appeal to their sense of patriotic anti-gayness...

And speak of our FEARS and TERRORS that this has opened up a potentially critical breach of national security...

I mean, you know "those people" - what if there was blackmail...

Oh, the humanity...

What do we tell the children...

What would jerry falwell do...

Could fred phelps be an unwitting help to us in this?

Hey, I can be as machiavellian as the next guy. It's their Achilles heel - and at the moment it's horribly unprotected...

Somebody like Colorado's Marilyn Musgrave - and her "slippery slope - it'll lead to beastiality and polygamy!!!!" screeching - comes to mind.

It looks somewhat like him but it's not a lock. I wouldn't bet the farm on it. And you know how I'd love to...

13. I'm afraid our Democratic representatives might be too squeamish
to go after this one. One problem Democrats, in general, have is to be considerate. We go out of our way not to offend. Someone should bitch slap the whole lot of us. If the Republicans had a line on a story such as Gannon/Guckert/Bulldog-gate, they'd be dancing in the streets and talking about it nonstop on any television or radio program who would allow them on. THAT'S WHAT DEMOCRATS NEED TO DO!!! Forget nice, forget pc, go for the jugular!

If this doesn't wake up people into anger, then nothing will.
This could be THE instrument to bring THEM down.

country, do you think war should be PC? "excuse me,::bang bang bang:::"

They are going nothing short of victory...we stop and say, "gee I wonder if this would be seen as not being fair" There are no rules to them, haven't you seen it? Anything goes for them, its the bottom line, who is first at the finish line. CUT THROAT!

Not too many people with that kind of power so I cannot even begin to imagine, but just an observation...bush calls Rummy "Rumstud"
Get it? Gannon/Hotmilitarystud.com...Rumstud? Sort of a theme going on there IMO (kind of like one big private joke)

21. Yeah a lot of nicknames there...ie. TURD BLOSSOM?
Some one with brass, high up in the workings, pulled some strings to get Guckert/Gannon in there. Who and why?

BTW, email your Reps, complain about this, it has serious National Security implications/repercussions. Its a legitimate concern. It should be pushed to the hilt!
