Poll question: Vote for Clark Running Mate 2008
Before you say he may not be the nominee, I know

Before you say it's only 2005, I know

This poll is because Clark asked me to poll DU....(jk)

3. wanted to obama but also want to save
him for later in his political career. i think Edwards did very well and could still be a great VP .

5. I like Cuomo...
Bet a lot of people would like to see him run domestic affairs. Clarke would be our FP Trump card.

6. why Warner?
I've seen Warner often mentioned as the best running mate for Clark. I don't know much about Warner, so I'm just curious as to why he's preferred by Clark supporters.

9. I think it has to do with the Washington outsider duo
that they would be...coming in to clean it all up....including the pentagon. That would mean going tru the pentagon to locate the money we would need to balance the budget and to fund Democratic programs.

Also has to do with winning Virginia, West Virginia, Arkansas, New Mexico and possibly Arizona and Louisiana along with the already blue states.

Having a Dem ticket strong in National Security and strong on economics represented by two self made folk with neither being senators (no votes to defend). Both strong in executive experience. Both southern but not conservatives. It would be the 1992 ticket revamped to meet the needs of a 2008 post 9/11 f*cked up world.

However, I will say that I could see either Feingold or Boxer on that VP portion of the ticket. I think with Clark, a woman would not "weaken" the ticket, and a liberal would not "liberalize" the ticket. I will add that both Boxer and Feingold would be better attack dogs than Warner. Warner is a little soft spoken....maybe a bit too much to generate the "strong Leader" persona....but with Clark on top, a little softness might not hurt at the bottom.

11. If Edwards wants to serve as Clark's VP
then I think he should be given the opportunity. He ran a really dirty campaign, and based on what I saw of him, I would not of have voted for him as president. After Kerry chose him as his v.p., Edwards showed he is a consummate team player and a very loyal supporter of the nominee. No matter what Edward's plans are for 2008, his biggest challenge is to mature intellectually in the next few years or he will be all washed up. Use it or lose it, Edwards!

12. Boxer or Gregoire. . .
because they have already proven their tenacity to me. . .actions speak louder.

Good grief, all I remember about Warner is the cold reception he gave Clark during VA Jefferson/Jackson dinner last year. . .fawgettabout him!

Christine Gregoire should be done with her term as gov so she would be ideal in 2008 whereas Barbara Boxer will have 2 more years to complete as Senator in 2008. . .where she is needed moreso.

Mario Cuomo has my admiration but he should have been running back in 1968 when he could have whipped Nixon's butt and avoided all that Watergate fiasco or even back in 1976. . .though I like Carter as well so they should have been running mates. But in 2008, too late unfortunately. . .he'd be a 76 yr-old VP making him older than even Reagan was as Prez.

Feingold voted against the war but he didn't stand up with Boxer for voting fraud so I'm relatively unimpressed by him lately. . .what's he afraid of? Same for Obama. . .playing safe does not impress me. . .same ole same ole with these guys.

All the others, especially Edwards, . . fawgettabout 'em!
:kick:
