Ridge, Pollsters Met During Bush Campaign
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=542&e=4&u=/ap/20050217/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/ridge_gop_pollsters
... Former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge met privately with Republican pollsters twice in a 10-day span last spring as he embarked on more than a dozen trips to presidential battleground states.
...
"We don't do politics in the Department of Homeland Security," Ridge told reporters during the election season.
...
His aides resisted releasing the calendars for over a year, finally providing them to the AP three days after Ridge left office this month.
...
Luntz helped write the 1994 "Contract With America," the issues centerpiece in the GOP's takeover of the House a decade ago. Luntz said he recalls nothing about the 45-minute discussion with Ridge. He said he received no compensation for the meeting.

Luntz is another hack that needs to get his ass handed to him.

2. same here.
I had moved to Georgia shortly before that time and followed gingrich's sleazy life very closely. I had no idea that luntz was involved with him. It makes me so angry that for the longest time one of the cable network kept trotting him out as a pollster, never identifying him as a political operative. Not until there was an uproar about the deception.

3. You were way ahead of me. Only since the first selection did I
really start paying attention.

And since that selection, our whole family has divested themselves of Cr2p Not News et all, which I have to watch to write parody.

It's so much quieter 'round here without the lying screamers.

8. I just can't believe Tom Ridge lied to me! Gimme a moment...
Anyone with 12 brain cells in their head knows that Ridge used color alerts to boost poll numbers over the years. Imagining him and the pollsters figuring out how to "do the colors" during Chimpy's run is pretty obvious.

11. Why, we all owe a big "THANK YOU, SCUMBAG" to Former Secy Ridge...
...he kept us safe with all those "color alerts" every few weeks during the election cycle, and, apart from that, he must have made it so safe that we haven't even had to have a single "color alert" for a long time, now--or at least since the election ended months ago.

Yes, his work here truly is done.:eyes:
