A bunch of lying, hypocritical, scumbag profiteers; the likes w'vee never seen.....

It would be most informative, I think. Here's a title-

OK, So We Lied: The Republican Decade - 1994-2004

Subtitle: Contract on American (We promised to clean Washington up; actually, we meant to clean it out)

5. Kentucky has two - Ron Lewis and Anne Northup
both signed the pledge to get into office and them immediately burned their copy as soon as everyone's back was turned. (Northup won election by accusing her opponent of being gay. Don't know whether she was or not but she would have made a damn fine representative.) Northup played that Contract with America card every chance she got.I don't think there are two that are more sanctimonious, faux religious and pandering than those two. Every time re-election comes around the money just flows into Kentucky like they were printing it up themselves in the basement of their office building in DC.

Lewis is a Baptist preacher who espouses whatever the repug party tells him to and Northup hauls out the children for photo ops and reminds everyone how much money she has funneled into her district. (Like she can't figure out we know who is paying for all the pork. She evidently thinks everyone is just stupid like her.) Lewis and Northup combined have never had an original thought and both get their marching orders from the Prince of Darkness himself - Mitch McConnell.

We have got to get the beautiful state of Kentucky out of the clutches of these power demons.

3. Excellent idea!
Whenever I hear of a Republican Congressperson elected in 1994, I cringe. They're all the same.

7. family values crowd with tons of divorces....
I recall a few years ago that someone looked at the 94 freshman fabs, and noted that an astounding percentage of them, while running on family values, family values, and family values, had actually had gotten a divorce AFTER being elected in 94. Does anyone recall this, or does anyone have the stats? Its rather alarming and is instant ammunition to the right about their own hero's family values. How ironic the king of the 94 family, Newtie, is the epitomy of hypocrisy with all of his cheating on wives.

13. I believe so, and probably other North Carolinians.
I remember reading that in 1994, our House delegation went from 8-4 Democratic to 8-4 Republican (although at least one or two seats returned to Democratic hands). I think Myrick is class of 94, and she's definitely a Bush stooge although she would have been elected with or without the Contract.

The fact that our state elected Burr just makes me wretch. Dole I can understand, because she's a Republican celebrity and held various cabinet positions etc. But watching Burr debate Bowles, I couldn't help but think that Burr was a smarmier version of the President, and that even if NC voters were going to go with Bush, they would have the sense to pick Bowles. A number did, but not enough.

8. In 1994 he did something on it for TV Nation, but
it deserves more attention. Certainly, an MM film on the neocon agenda would be most excellent.

10. That would be nice
Scarborough has this "holier then thou" attitude most of them have on MSM. I'd love for Moore to get the MSM and their dirty people.
