Gannon attended White House Christmas parties -- but who invited him?
Former Talon News Washington bureau chief and White House correspondent Jeff Gannon (aka James D. Guckert) attended at least two invitation-only events in Washington, D.C.: the 2003 and 2004 White House press Christmas parties. Gannon has been discredited by numerous charges -- most notably that he is a Republican activist who has reproduced sections of Republican Party and White House materials verbatim in his own "news reports," and not a true news reporter. So the question arises: who invited Gannon to these exclusive events?

1. Find that out and you blow this bunch wide open
because whoever invited him to the parties was likely also who waived the security check to get him into the inner circle. It might also be who decided he was the guy they needed to shop the Plame story around.

It begs the question "why Gannon?"

After all, if they were looking for operatives and shills, they had plenty to chose from who had legitimate connections to the real right wing press. They knew this guy was going around under an alias. They knew he was hiding something. Why Gannon/Guckert, indeed?

My guess is that he's got a sugar daddy in there. Find who invited him to parties to see and be seen, who got his background check waived, and who persuaded Eberle to set up a phony news service, and you'll find his daddy.

This can only get better.

6. Dina Powell is married to Richard Powell, Board member of GOPUSA
this can't be right, I can't be the only one to recall this info that I read here the other day. And every news story on MSM neglects this important fact also. Dina Powell is Bush's chief of personnel.

WTF is going on??

12. Because I have no life I was reading the old diaries at Kos and came
upon this little tidbit about the TKE fraternity minutes that someone dug up. Apparently there was a TKE meeting on July 17. 2003 and Mr Guckert gave his regrets stating he not be present because he would be entertaining the Prime Minister of Britain. As it turns out Tony Blair was in Washington on July 17th. Bravado and BS for his brothers, Gannon did name drop and apparently never let a little thing like the truth get in the way of a good story nevertheless if Rove was looking for someone who would be discreet he bet on the wrong pony.
