I got an anti-choice petition gatherer kicked out today.
He was gathering signatures in front of Henry's Market (a health store frequented by progressives) for a California ballot initiative to require parental notification for abortions. Among other lies, he claimed Hilary Clinton endorsed the proposal and that the NY Times says "Hilary now wants to ban all abortions."

After arguing for a few minutes with the moron, I informed a store manager that I found this individual's presence offensive and explained that he was disseminating lies to customers who might not appreciate such views. So the manager asked him to leave!

(If he hadn't, my next approach would have been to ask permission to set up a table with our local Democratic committee to distribute literature promoting our views.)

3. It was so easy, I wished I'd done it before.
I'd passed a couple of other people pushing the same petition last week, but did nothing.

Another good idea: Set up your own table next to these bozos with "facts" on incest rates and how this proposal endangers teens' lives.

5. But I don't think I ever would even have thought of this.
How many times have I just grumbled to myself and moved on? Thanks for reminding me to stop whining and start doing something!

p.s. read on another thread that you'd been in an accident. Hope your recovery is going well.

4. ALL RIGHT, Liberty Belle!!!!!
As my dad taught me a long (LONG) time ago, "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men (people) to stand by and do nothing"

We are starting to fight back and they are starting to hershey squirt!
