(London) The Bush Administration's attacks on same-sex marriage have now been expanded to include unmarried heterosexuals and divorced people - resulting on a ban of Camilla Parker Bowles from the White House.

The Administration is pushing its traditional marriage initiative aimed at keeping straight families from breaking up and banning gay marriage.

London's Sunday Sun reports that the White House has scuttled plans by Prince Charles to take Camilla on a Royal tour of the US later this year after they marry in a civil ceremony.

The Sun reports that the Royal household was told that Camilla, who will have the title Her Royal Highness Princess Consort after Charles becomes king, is not welcome at the White House because she is a divorcee.

I wonder if there is some other reason and Camilla's divorce is just the excuse.

I think that Americans don't really like Camilla - we liked Diana. And Diana died so horribly, and with her muslim/arab lover. It's all very uncomfortable - I bet the Brits themselves decided that it's better if he comes alone.

Half the repuke congressional delegation is divorced as was Ronald Reagan. Nope, this one just doesn't sound legit.

who was it? A footman or something... It was a huge scandal. In all the Bush stuff it's hard to remember. But, yes there was alot of speculation about Charles.

Then there's Bush's stuff about using the same "toothpaste" as Blair...when Blair first visited at Camp David. "Looking into Putin's eyes"...and now he resents Camilla....

I am not saying that this is not true, just advocating caution. What IS interesting, though, is that the Sun (which has a huge circulation within the UK) is a Murdoch newspaper, and one perhaps should look beyond this story. Eg what will be the reaction of the readers? Well, Camilla is still perceived as the person who broke up the marriage of the Prince and Princess of Wales. So this may be just part of a Camilla-bashing season, in the run-up to her marriage to Prince Charles on 8 April. And it will make Bush's White House look stupid, too, because of Prince Charles being also divorced. I don't know if the Sun has a campaign to make the White House look like pompous hypocrits - I don't read this paper.

Administration and cronies then as well. Poor Rush and Newt, both have had multiple divorces, I guess no more WH access for them either.
