New mexico paper calls for verifiable paper trail for ballots!

from the Albuquerque Tribune, an editorial that calls for a verifiable paper trail to count votes, among other recommendations:

"The results must be verifiable through a paper trail that records each vote and that is consistent with the total number of votes cast - whether by computer, machine or paper ballot."

1. Paper trail does essentially nothing Msongs.

Nevada had a paper trail this time around and there was strong of evidence of fraud in Nevada from the last election.

Paper trails are a bandaid that make people feel comfortable but do nothing, absolutely nothing to solve the problem.

We need to remove the machines OUT OF THE VOTING EQUATION until they are safe, which may be never.

2. Ummm except it supplies evidence.....

DEMS won't be able to rest again ever. We are going to have to stay on these guys each and every day.

Paper receipts - in hand - verifiable by code. The can do it with a mountain dew lid.

3. the paper ballots official for counting & declaring winners, machines are

merely a means to create the paper ballot. the paper ballots are then counted by hand at the precincts/polliing places, the results for the precinct are posted and only then are the totals forwarded to any central tabulating location.
