Lieberman promoted to Dean of Senate Faction!

Tells reporters America needs more faint hearts so we can all be friends!

(Okay, he didn't say that. But he has been promoted to Senate Dean.)

I've used several variations to search but can't find exactly how this position is achieved or what the duties might be. The only name associated with the title currently is Robert C Byrd.

Whatever the responsibilities, Lieberman for Byrd is a bad trade, imo!

His subsequent post is all about the Fainthearted faction.

"Dean of Senate" is an actual term but rarely used. It confused me. Makes sense that it is just a respectful term indicating the Senator with the longest service.

I removed mention of Byrd from the subject line so the error won't confuse others.
