A slice of paradise, while we're in the midst of hell....

If America's cool people (progressives, anti *ites, decent Democrats) would move to Hawaii--we could become a majority and win the next state House and Senate elections--as well as every other elected post, from dog catcher to school board member.

After gaining power, we could vote to secede from the United States for a few years--and we would be free of Bush.

Think about it--stress free, truly FREE, Bush free. We'd have a massive, three-year, sun-and-surf bash with a luau every night and a margarita in every hand.

Our progressive policies would help to create: The freshest air, the cleanest water, world-class schools, real solutions for the poor/ disadvantaged, paper-ballot elections, a balanced budget, equity for minorities/women/gays, a nurturing environment for children and the end of corporate power in government.

We'd work hard. We'd party hard--with flowers in our hair and coconut oil dripping off of our tanned skin.

We'd have a little slice of paradise--for a while--until the United States returned to the paradise of democracy that it once was.

(Hey, a girl can fantasize, can't she? I need this daydream to get me through the days when BushCo really gets me down. Feel free to use it too--if it helps.) :)

*sigh* Think of what it'd be like. Waking up every morning, going to work or school and having the ocean to look at and no Bush to look at and no stupidity and religious stuff. *sigh* It's my dream world too. Can we have a President Kerry and Gore? (not at the same time of course) And all the past democratic president's can have an exclusive place to live. :)
