1. After what Richardson did concerning a
recount of votes in his state, he's burnt toast as far as I'm concerned.

IMHO

there are better dems out there

Clark?? :shrug: never got a chance to learn much about him. He has a good resume though, pretty much.

He's awful friendly with various energy and other corporations. A GREAT DLC-style candidate -- if that's what you want (and I don't).

There's no excuse for his behavior over the recount.

2. 2008 is a long way off...
Clark needs some Public Service or elected office to prove himself beyond the military....

And I need to see which side of the DLC Richardson really butters his bread with...

Maybe after we get past 06 I'll start to really examine the potential crop of candidates...in 01 I wasn't thinking Dean or Kerry....in 05 I'm not thinking anyone who'll probably end up on the ticket either.

Just please....give me a LIBERAL!

He's a DINO, a DLC asshole, the enemy of working people, the friend of the rich and the corporate. He's been a DISASTER.

I despise him enough to vote PUBBIE just to get rid of him.

At least our last pubbie governor was against the drug war.

I don't think he has a snowballs chance in hell to win the nomination. I know I am going to take grief for saying that, but I just don't think he appeals to mainstream dems. If he did, he would have won the nomination the first time around.

10. Clark/Anybody (within reason),
but I'm not sure that Richardson would be my first pick. But of course, I'll worry about that when and if he actually gets the nomination.

(Wondering how long it will take this thread to degenerate into a flame war.)

12. My original dream team would be Clark/Dean or even Dean/Clark
Now that Dean is head DLC, I was thinking of the Hispanic vote. I though that Richardson was pretty well liked. Judging from the posts here though, I guess I may be wrong.

08' is a long way off, but as of now, I believe Clark to be a breath of fresh air in the Political Establishment - as in being an outsider - but being familiar with much of the inside.

15. Richardson isn't my first choice
but I say give him a chance. I remember reading a story about how when he was a congressman, he personally went to Iraq and got Saddam to release two American contractors who he had imprisoned. I was impressed.
