Poll question: How long before those that backed Dean for DNC Chair start booing Dean?
Edited on Mon Feb-28-05 11:27 PM by zulchzulu
Not that it will happen, but the way the Democratic Party is already steering the mighty 2008 HMS Hillary into a treacherous iceberg in 2008, it will be the role of Howard Dean as DNC Chair to follow the whims and whispers of the DLC who may be wooing all of us glassy-eyed followers over the cliff and back Her Majesty.

Or Dean may prove that he is indeed a Moderate as his record shows and thus dishearten those that misread him...again.

How long before the "Left" starts dissing Howard?

1. Why don't you wait until he's been office a month to start this flamebait?

3. It's not flamebait
I've had several discussions and seen discussions here from people who are disappointed in Dean ALREADY that are DFA members. I am a DFA member.

Someone I know was saying that Dean was not doing enough with the nominations being voted on and not vocal enough on Gannon...

...mostly the misconception that the DNC Chair makes policy decisions that this could be a problem.

4. You want to show me those? Links. (and please point out the DFA people)
But I still contend this is FLAMEBAIT.

6. I will not turn in DFA people like some McCarthyistic rat...sorry...
I'm also not about to search the DU threads for the various statements some have made regarding how they think Dean has "softened up", is not going after (fill in the blanks) or whatever...

If you haven't seen these examples, perhaps you will soon.

9. If it's on a public thread, you're not turning anyone in.
And turning them into who — the Democratic purity police? And if you're talking about those lame "Dean isn't going after Gannon" threads, I've seen them.

Actually, no.

Check out Kos too. You'll find early pro-DFA Dean bashers there...some people are just NEVER happy. What a curse.

If you will. Not sure if you mean her, or if you do, which her, or here. Be specific.

Heck, most of us are quite proud of him.

16. I spend a lot of time at Kos.
I have seen almost no bashing of him, except the usual suspects. One is not really DFA, just pretends to be....and Dean is not a lefty lunatic enough for him.

I think you are trying to drive wedges where none are right now.

I just find it amazing how quickly people turn on politicians...look at Obama...he's hated here now.

18. Obama is not hated here that I can see.
I think a lot of us are very much on guard now for the ones who try to cooperate too much with the other party. If he does that he will be criticized, just like anyone else.

We are in a lot of trouble in this country, and we have to be able to say no and oppose when needed.

20. No, not wedges at all. Triangle shaped pieces of wood.
Edited on Tue Mar-01-05 01:09 AM by Capn Sunshine
why, just because they look like wedges, doesn't mean anyone would be driving them.

What's the matter , is the General on vacation this week?

2. I think Dean fans will let him do his job if Hillary wins the primary
Edited on Mon Feb-28-05 11:31 PM by jpgray
After all, very few Dean fans were also Kerry fans--and Dean's very supportive and helpful role in Kerry's general election campaign didn't elicit any screaming or hand-wringing. I think they would be disappointed if he pushed Hillary over more progressive or interesting voices, but would they be upset over him helping her beat the Republican nominee if she wins the primary? Naw.

7. Wait until the 2006 elections are over
If Democrats don't do well, it will begin. The magic of Dean is that he can be a moderate corporate sell-out all he wants and a lot of liberals will still support him. It may take a while.

Edited on Mon Feb-28-05 11:45 PM by zulchzulu
I personally give him that chance. What happens mid-2006 will be interesting too...whoever is running in 2008 will have to at least have a couple shingles out on Main Street by then.

13. Listen to the interview I posted on the front page.
He was asked about her, and he said he would be "scrupulously neutral" and say nothing at all about anyone who ran. That was his job.

None of us are ignorant enough to think he can cater to the whims of one faction. That is not expected.

14. The party spokesman had his say about Gannon. That is his job.
I forget his name, but he was elected last year.

This is a big stinking bunch of baloney, geared to irritate. It is not irritating me, I just find it pretty obvious.

Dean is in governor/ceo mode, and I gather he is not warm and cuddly when working to take back countries.

Actually that is quite good, we need a real fighter right now. I imagine many will make his job harder, but that is the way the ball bounces.

21. Good to see you working on productive efforts
and posters like you wonder how come Deanies are out here taking over the party I bet. hahahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!!!!!

Do keep posting this slop and then spend the day baiting and bickering. It'll keep you out of the way of the grown ups who are actually accomplishing things.

Have a wonderful, useless day. You're off to a good start. :hi:
