Chcago SunTimes: Dean doesn't look so bad now
But the best sentence in the whole thing is:

Given the limited personnel that President Bush deals with -- people with extensive dealings with the entire Bush family -- there is something of a crime syndicate atmosphere about the entire enterprise.

They're catching on!

Story...

...that they've printed something on the criminal nature of the Bushistas. See my LTTE at http://www.suntimes.com/output/letters/cst-edt-vox25a.html (scroll down to "Bush made them criminals").

2. NPR this morning
featured Mehlman yammering about how corporations are the best option to police themselves and that the public's access to the court system should be eliminated. He was slick as snot on a doorknob and twice as nasty. They ended the segment with "We also contacted Dr. Dean for a comment." Period. It didn't look or sound good. They then followed with two more segments featuring cheap labor pubbies.

Honestly, the left has got to persuade somebody with deep pockets to start funding left wing equivalents of Heritage so that we've got a similar stable of glib experts to shop around to networks. I sincerely hope Dean is trying to get this accomplished as he tries to oust those old maids in pants that have been holding the party back.

In the meantime, I changed the station on my clock radio. I'll be awakened by the commercial classical station in town in future.

3. Ha! Hollow criticism. Dean's too busy getting our ducks in a row...
...on the baseline level right now to be able to comment every time a journalist demands it. So they get snippy with their on-air comments.

Meanwhile, Dean is on the road with a Red, White & Blue tour right now, and he's busy. (Ahem...gee, NPR could cover that! BUT NO!!!) He was greated enthusiastically by 900 Dems in Lawrence, Kansas (red!) last week. Today he is in red Mississippi, where the advance news stories alluded to another huge welcome party.

Here ya go, sounds damned good for a red state where Kerry lost by 30 percent....

These kinds of grassroots efforts are gonna pay off long-term for us in ways an offhand comment on an NPR story focused on the Republicans would not.

The Doctor is in, folks.

6. This is a very good article.
"Balanced" in a way national media rarely is.

It's great he's getting such good local coverage for the Democratic message.
