Richard Land, that's who. he talks weekly with the WH.

Christian right leader has Bush's ear

As leader of the policy arm of the Nashville-based Southern Baptist Convention, Richard Land has emerged as one of the most powerful voices among the country's burgeoning evangelical movers and shakers.

He has the ear of the Bush administration through weekly teleconferences with the president's aides, and leaders of both parties routinely consult him as they shape policies and issues.

He was interviewed more than 660 times last year by television, radio and print journalists, and regularly speaks at conferences and debates nationwide.

Through his syndicated weekly radio broadcast, For Faith and Family, carried by more than 600 stations nationwide, Land reaches more than 1.5 million listeners.

And just this month, Time magazine named Land one of the 25 most influential evangelicals in the country, dubbing him ''God's lobbyist'' — a term that makes him cringe.

I want to know what Democrats are consulting him to shape policies and issues!

1. That would be a very good question to pose to the writer. She doesn't
list an email address, but throwing that line in without being specific, or enlarging on it in any way, is sloppy journalism.

2. Perhaps by both parties she meant the Cons & the Neocons?
