4. High Hopes
Social Security is a safety net no a fricking 401K. Bush thinks everyone is as stupid as he is. Private accounts do nothing to save social security. All they need to do is raise the cap on the 90,000 and bingo it's saved for 100 years!!!!! Case closed, problemo solved.

Bush's budget cuts would ruin families here (3rd highest Social Security recipient's in the nation), median income in town is $29,000,and in debt to the neck to the bank for everything they have and must work 7/12s to pay all the notes, scared of loosing it all any day now; so when Bush says that social security won't be there, they will do anything he says and go along with any plan he has just to keep from living in a card board box when they are 70. Fear is a good convincer.

of the weekly speeches he was going to give leading up to the transfer or power to the Iraqis. There was one speech, it was an unmitigated disaster, and he never spoke of it again.

Having been born it 1954, it just gives me goosebumps to know that the promises made to me are up for grabs. Since I'm putting my kids through school now and paying off a mortgage, I just can't wait to get into some private investments over the next 15 years that will make me rich!
