1. Cuts
let's make these bastards pay in 2006, for even thinking about dismantling Social Security. :bounce:

The Democratic ad repeatedly highlights that under Bush’s proposed privatization plan, guaranteed Social Security benefits would be cut. Specifically, the ad mentions benefit cuts three times in less than 60 seconds and ends by encouraging listeners to contact their local member of Congress.

2. Selling to the sold
Aren't these appearances by Bush at places packed with his fans? Who exactly is he convincing? I doubt they let people in with legitimate questions. Probably not much debate either. Are the sound bytes in the media suppose to sell the unconvinced? How much is this costing us for his security to run around the country?

3. Repeat of 2004
They hope the media broadcasts Bush in front of an adoring crowd cheering for the dismantling of a great federal program. So people at home who aren't very engaged will see it and say, "Hey, I feel like cheering too. What'd he say?"

5. It's great but I think she mispronounced South Bend of all things!
I've never heard it pronounced with the emphasis on South as she says it, but always with the emphasis on BEND. That could screw up how it's receive locally unless the locals pronounce it differently than the Chicago transplants.

6. That's strange. I have always heard it that way.
But then I live in Florida. I will bet that ad won't fly....best they take it down. Darn Dems.
