Brian Williams must go!

My letter to NBC Nightly "News":

Dear Sirs:
After this latest fiasco ( http://www.comedycentral.com/mp/play.jhtml?reposid=/multimedia/tds/headlines/10029.html ) by a mainstream, so-called journalist -- to wit, your very own Brian Williams -- in which the news of the death by assassination of the presiding judge in the upcoming trial of Saddam Hussein 1) proved to be greatly exaggerated, and 2) was accompanied by video of the judge who remains alive, but is now greatly endangered by your sloppy reporting, I'm finished watching your show. I was on the fence after reading of Mr. Williams' complimentary remarks about a certain divisive narcotic addict in the media named Rush Limbaugh, but this has clinched it.
Buh-bye!

After careful consideration, we have determined that Mr. Williams' remarks did not harm the president and therefore do not constitute grounds for dismissal.

So, are the freepers getting their panties in a bunch about Brian Williams the way they did about Dan Rather? This would be the time for them to demonstrate that they actually care about accurate journalism, and not just when the story is detrimental to Emperor W.

I would not have known about the clear-view video of the judge if not for The Daily Show. What will NBC say if this judge is kidnapped or killed before, during, or after Saddam's trial? You gotta know that Saddam's violent supporters have a total I/D on this judge now. I'd flee the country if I were him .. with my family.

His real death, if and when that happens (and I say when), will now be down-played. Nothing will happen. No connections will be made. It makes me ill. I have been all day.
