RUSS FEINGOLD FOR PRESIDENT
Check out this amazing site: www.russforpresident.com . It is 10x better than draftruss.org (from what I can tell), and it is made by a Wisconsin citizen who worked on Feingold's campaign. I am going to start posting on the message board. God can only hope that Russ Feingold runs for president. Hopefully this site will take off (apparently they have been recieving a lot of attention). GOOOOOOOOO RUSS! We need a progressive leader to stand up for a pronciples and not cower to partisan bickering.

1. I really like Russ
and will definitely support him if Wes Clark ends up not running. He's one of the few being mentioned that I could feel good about voting for.

2. I don't think a Senator is a good idea.
Their voting records will always be grist for the gristmill.

4. Voting record
Feingold is known as the most consistent voter in the Senate. Hands down. He was the only one to vote against the Patriot Act and doesn't vote along party lines. He is known for an absolute consistency in his voting, that's why he is so well liked.

6. I agree,
I think that makes him a better choice than most senators.

7. And he voted the right way on Iraq.
Against the war, but for the money for the troops...the complete opposite of Kerry.

11. I agreed
that it was smart politically to vote against the war and for the 87 billion supplement...

and I like Russ a lot (next to Clark he'd be at the top of my list).

But let's not kid ourselves into thinking any of that money made it "to the troops".

The body armor that Kerry supposedly voted against should have been there from the begining. It wasn't. The 87 billion like everything to come out of this administration is a worthless boondogle. Don't believe for one second that the money proposed was really for the troops.

10. If anybody
voted against the "Patriot Act" is a hero!

8. Since it's a Feingold thread...
I'll just add that my prayers are with the Feingold family after the death of Russ Feingold's mother.

But I'd vote for him for president, senator or not.

9. I'll wager that Feingold will run and that he'll be a --
-- stronger competitor than "the media" currently believe.

He finishes in the top 3 in the Iowa caucuses with Bayh and Edwards, and ahead of Hillary Clinton.
