PA Dem chair to DFA group....no blog except for Rendell.

This is an interesting discussion at MyDD today. Many of us are working to get state party Dem websites to have a blog. As you can see here, it can be done quite practically. However it means giving up the top down power, which is very hard to do.
This is an interesting thread. It shows the new way and old way starting to collide. We are finding Maddox to be more open-minded than we thought here, so we are hopeful. I get mailings from the state several times a week now.
Here is an example of a great state blog which is listed in this thread, the NJ one. It shows what is possible if the fear of the grassroots is overcome.

Not giving Ginny (Schrader?) their full support (more on that later). And now, this. Last night I had the pleasure of attending a Bucks County PA DFA attended by Pennsylvania Democratic Party Executive Director Don Morabito. This DFA group has been clamoring about a state party blog to help organize and provide mobilizing information to the grassroots. Now that the E.D. was there, they asked me to plead the case."END SNIP

official blog. The state blog would be great to get state issues off of everybody's chests and then the party's could complain and bitch about each other. Also they could plan get-togethers. Teleconferencing has become a faster more efficient way of doing long distance business and corporate America uses it a lot. I see blogs as even better.
