Residents who live near the Turf Valley Resort and Conference Center say
they're "horrified" that the hotel allowed an alternative lifestyle sex
convention to be held there this past weekend.

This event, entitled Dark Odyssey - Winter Fire, was sold out with more
than 300 registered participants. Turf Valley Hotel contains 220 rooms.
Two other area hotels, one listed as two minutes from Turf Valley and the
other 15 minutes away, were for the overflow.

"There are very definitely health issues", said resident Ingrid Holtzman.
"I've seen those news shows where an ultraviolet light exposes feces and
other things in hotel rooms after everything has supposedly been cleaned.
Would you put your baby on a bedspread there after this?"

Speaking for Turf Valley Hotel, Sam Mangione said: "We don't endorse the
subject matter."

The weekend has passed without incident, he noted. "We accomplished what
we set out to do. The group that came in was private and behaved
appropriately in the public settings of the resort".

That she would attach the inability of hotels to thoroughly clean a hotel room to the fact that homosexuals stay there. No straight couple would ever be so unclean as to leave bodily fluids behind.

I mean, what homosexual doesn't love to smear shit and vasaline over every sqaure inch of every hotel in the country. It's part of thier secret agenda. How else would they spread thier gay disease around to the unwitting public. /sarcasm OFF

that held a pornography convention. I wasn't a maid. I worked in the bar. I felt sorry for the maids though, they weren't exactly enjoying their jobs that week!

I just had to deal with the "disgusting" behavior of the good ol' boy crowd and the diminutive women that played the the pawns in their sex games. I wouldn't be very happy to work in a Hotel that hosted one of these conventions again.

It was a RUDE awakening for a very young woman!

Sex is the same whether it is Gay or straight. "Bodily fluids" come from all sides of the sexual spectrum! Yuk!

Our local teeveenews was all atwitter about this. That Ingrid Fuckkinprude was all over the news saying how awful this was. "Where can we safely change babies if this sort of thing goes on?" she mused for the teevee cameras with her self-righteous outrage. (Like no one else **ever** has sex in a hotel room and like traveling businessmen never jerk off in hotel rooms, and like hookers never do out-call to hotel rooms ....... and like babies never puke in hotel rooms.)

And it wasn't a gay event. It was bdsm event. Hetero, gay .... all flavors of people were welcome and participated. Having been to such events in the past (not at that hotel), I dare say it was one of their better behaved crowds. Surely better than the high school kids puking in the rooms after too much underage drinking - which happens at **that** hotel many times every prom season.

Where's the outrage?

This place is within 15 miles of downtown Baltimore. Who says Maryland is a reliable Blue State? We have more than our share of intolerant assholes. And they breed. And they live all around me.

The people who pray loud and long in public do "horizontal prayer" .... they pray in a way that is geared to impress (or annoy) those around them. Loud. Long. Crowd-gathering.

I prefer to pray vertically ...... me to god. Quiet. No crowd. No loud. No impressive antics for others.

Their outrage is the same way. Horizontal outrage. Outrage for everyone else to listen to. Pious, loud, obnoxious outrage.

Don't actually **do** anything. Just make noise.

I sat in a hotel conference room all day with a notebook in front of me and a speaker telling us stuff...what exactly is the purpose of a Sex conference? Is there note-taking?
