Newsweek: Schwarzenegger's Hummer Tour A Bust?
The Arnold Sequel

Schwarzenegger's photo ops can be so splendid, it's a wonder they don't sell popcorn in the lobby. His ambitious reform agenda, though, is losing box office appeal among California voters.

March 4 - Arnold Schwarzenegger's latest political road show begins with the requisite great visuals and humble hero-against-the-forces-of-evil storyline...

But this year, Schwarzenegger's task is far more complicated, and already there are signs that his latest antics have limited box office appeal. A Field Poll released in late January showed a 10 percent drop in Arnold's approval rating - from 65 percent to 55 percent. Among Democrats, that figure is even lower, and 53 percent of voters say California is on the "wrong track," a measure of dissatisfaction that generally spells trouble that generally spells trouble for any incumbent.

3. Exactly! Maria Shriver convinced Dems to vote for Ahnuld!
She said he wasn't a real right-wing Republican and Dems would like him. I think SHE should be ashamed! I used to think California was the best state in the U.S. - but Ahnuld is a disgrace!

2. I knew this was going to happen
Arnold is going to crash and burn. He simply doesn't have the political skills to be a decent governor. Plus, he's a jerk, and that is becoming more obvious every day. Unlike Bush, he doesn't have the die hard support of the Christian fundies, and even if he did, it wouldn't be enough to keep him popular. There simply aren't enough of them in California to carry him through.

Arnold's political career will be exactly like his movie career. It will start out strong and be a huge success for awhile and it will look like he's invincible. But towards the end of it, he will be losing money, support, and appeal, just like the last half dozen or so of his movies.

5. I am in Northern California
where we did not vote for recall or Schwarzenegger.

But taking on the Nurses, the Teachers, the Firefighters, and CalPers -- all at one time -- this is his "Bridge Too Far" -- just like Bush's "Social INSecurity Piratization."

Judge: Schwarzenegger Delayed Nurse Laws Illegally (AP)

SACRAMENTO - In a significant blow to Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger, a judge has ruled that he acted illegally when he delayed implementation of a state law requiring hospitals to have at least one nurse for every five patients.
