IT'S B-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-C-K!
Edited on Sat Mar-12-05 03:13 PM by Ishtar
Although I am among those who doubt that Karen Hughes ever abandoned Stinky W. to 'spend more time with her family,' the Washington Post announced today that Hughes is officially back, bigger 'n better than ever, and is taking over the job of cleaning up the world's view -- particularly the Muslim world's view -- of the United States.

Big job for a big gal. But if anyone can do it, Hughes -- Karl Rove's alter ego and Bush's Nanny since he was a Texas govenor -- can.

Hughes is the high priestess of propaganda. In the war of ideas, or battle of lies, Hughes is a Natural. The Best That Ever Was. Heck, the Muslims won't know what hit them when Karen Hughes gets after their hearts and minds.

Are you listening, Osama? Who's Yo Mama?

The Post says Hughes will 'set up shop' at Condi Rice's State Department, where the two Super Heroes will take their diplomatic wrestling match on the road and will 'tag-team' the rest of the world.

That's just what the male-dominated muslim world needs at this time -- two Bush women, resplendent in leather knee boots and mini skirts -- twittering at them, lecturing them, scolding them, and threatening them with time-outs if they don't follow the rules...

Hughes is being brought back with the primary aim of promoting American values of democracy, tolerance and pluralism, while erasing the images of slaughtered women and children, ravenous dogs feeding on corpses left lying in streets of demolished cities, and continued inhumane abuse and torture of many innocents unfortunate enough to be swept into US-run Iraqi prisons.

Hughes may discover that it's all but impossible to win hearts and minds when you're savagely destroying bodies and souls...

5. What can Karen Do?
Well, when you consider the Pentagon channel is now expanding its coverage -- and its grip -- on American minds...when you consider the US-owned radio and TV in Iraq that blares propaganda 24/7....when you consider the bully pulpit that will be given to her to spew her talking points on Meet the Press, Face the Nation, This Week, CNN and FOX, looks to me like she can "do" pretty much as she pleases...

17. Linda Tripp is still uglier
But Karen Hughes has done more damage to the country. (and 6 years ago, I wouldn't have believed that possible)

3. good. now we know where she is so we can watch her.
When we see spin coming out of the State department we can counteract it.

Remember, with the * Regime, the opposite is always the truth.

4. Wiki'd and nominated
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_Hughes

Karen Parfitt Hughes (born December 27, 1956) is a Republican U.S. political professional from the state of Texas.

Since the 1990s, Hughes has worked with George W. Bush: first as Director of Communications while he was Governor of Texas, from 1995 to 2000, and then as Special Advisor to the President from 2001 to 2002, while he was President of the United States. She left the Bush administration in July 2002 to return to Texas, but remained in daily contact with the Bush reelection campaign by telephone and e-mail, and spoke personally with Bush several times a week. In August 2004, Hughes returned to full-time service with the Bush campaign, setting up office on Air Force One, from where she planned the 2004 Republican National Convention and the late stages of the 2004 election. She has been described by the Dallas Morning News as "the most powerful woman ever to serve in the White House", and by ABC News as Bush's "most essential advisor", and remains one of the major voices of the Bush campaign.

In March 2004, Hughes published Ten Minutes from Normal, an upbeat account of her work in the Bush administration.

7. nice writing,
There is always something disarming about Karen's wardrobe. The large, "high priestess of propaganda" wearing June Cleaver - Texas style - outfits, with a touch of the Church Lady thrown in, always creates visual cognitive dissonance in this viewer.

8. good grief
Only bushco would think you could clean up "images of slaughtered women and children, ravenous dogs feeding on corpses left lying in streets of demolished cities..." with public relations and mass marketing.

These people are so out of touch.

When I read this kind of stuff I can only mutter to myself,"It's the end times, it's the end times."

9. Yeah, they are going to LOVE her...
Bad enough we have to put up with that "folksy" Texas bullshit from the Chimp now we have Hughes, who's never done anything in a public office other than wash the skid-marks out of the Boy King's shorts.

She's going to be REALLY effective and convincing talking that down home Texas bullshit to those would not listen to the Monkey the first time around.

Good God, Condi, Laura, Hughes...are all the women in this administration totally freaking weird or what?

Hughes, great.

She's a piano-legged cow. I hate her fat ass.
