Vote to add Bingiman Amendment finished - 44 Yea, 49 Nya
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 06:03 PM by GetTheRightVote
The republican adminstration simply do not care if the working/lower classes get an education. I hate this so much after watching it play out all day. The repubs simply hate us.

2. Compassion
The amendment would have prevented $15 Billion in cuts to Medicaid over the next five years.
A sad day indeed for people who are poor and disabled.
We need to keep reminding people that they are taking money and services from people with disabilities to line the pockets of the rich.

To restore funding for education programs that are cut and reduce debt by closing corporate tax loopholes.

3. It would have saved so many programs for the poor,
educational programs both for our youth and adults. It's more about the big issue -- GUTTING the AMERICAN people of any and everything yet PROTECTING MILLIONAIRES.

I have been watching it and if you think I'm mad as all, you should have seen Kennedy, Sarbanes and Conrad (as well) as the Senator of Hawaii.

They're really beginning to tell it like it is. But, when Conrad continued to ask his colleagues to come to the floor and speak "now," with time running out, only the ones mentioned above (I seen) showed-up.

One of the RePuks said tomorrow Social Security comes up. I'm so sick of this administration and their faithfully purchased Reps/Senators I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

What's wrong w/their supporters? And I think I'm going to stop asking. There is no answer except maybe jealousy, prejudice, arrogance, ignorance, un-educated, do not care, trust blindly or are millionaires themselves. I no longer believe all those lead by faith and values no longer buy into this crap either. No. we're being gutted by the biggest, richest corporations w/global investments with no end in sight.

I just saw this phrase used on another thread, and I think it's a great one-liner commentary on the current administration.
I intend to use this phrase early and often.

That thread is here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=162x2073
