So, now we know what Republicans REALLY think about the environment.
Of course, we knew about their complete disdain for it before, but Sen. Stevens on C-SPAN2 right now just confirming it. He says that the part of ANWR that they want to drill "isn't wilderness, and never has been wilderness." In other words, "It's not wilderness unless it's specifically protected; it's not nature unless WE SAY IT IS."

1. Man, talk about an overreaching of governmental power!
Silly me. I thought the republicans all were after smaller government rather than a body with the (supposed) authority to declare patches of the earth wild or not....

4. Right the don't give a shit about the environment or the harm ....
...pollution and toxins will do to the masses of people as long as they are not affected. So we have 50 republicans who we can target and get rid of.
