2. I hope they never stop
The more the wingnuts protest the 'homosexual agenda,' the more they expose themselves as loons. I only hope they go after Mickey Mouse and Pluto for promoting bestiality. When your opponents are this obviously nutty, you can't help looking good by comparison.

17. you may have heard this joke, but here goes...
Mickey and Minnie are in a bitter divorce fight in court.
The judge comes back with a decision: "Mickey, you filed for divorce on the grounds that Minnie is crazy. I can find no evidence, and you have presented no evidence, that Minnie is crazy; therefore, Minnie gets everything."

Mickey replies: "Your honor, I never said Minnie was crazy, I said she was f*cking Goofy!"

LOL! So, any time a group of men live together, they're presumed to be gay? Does that mean the whole Army is gay? Entire submarine crews? The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Batman and Robin? Rock bands on tour? Does it mean that while you're going to college you can't have a same-sex roommate? WTF is wrong with these idiots?

On edit: And what about the Smurfs??

9. HOLD THAT THOUGHT!
I just had an inspiration - if, according to repuke wing nuts, men living together is part of the "Gay Agenda", and Armed Forces are groups of men living together, and Gay is bad, then, stop the damn Iraq War and bring everyone home now. According to their own logic,we can't tolerate this situation any longer.

13. Yes
They are all gay and living in sin. They will go to Hell and burn for all time.

Or

They are people who live together for variety of reasons.

Who cares? Let these fools ruin any form of respect they may have. Let them live in interesting yet gay times.

I feel bad for the Gay Community. They are the New Jews of the Kinder and Gentler Nazi-ish Amerika.

While the Jews, many of us who have shown that we are more than willing to collaborate with the Kinder and Gentler Nazi Masters, will be playing the role of the French this time around. Mostly hated by the Busheviks but they will take our bootlicking colaboration if we offer it (and like the French, many of us have).

INSIDE RETAILING
Field's theme for the holidays was not received warmly by all

BECKY YERAK
Published March 15, 2005

Move over Tinky Winky and SpongeBob SquarePants.

When Marshall Field's employed a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs theme for its 2004 holiday festivities, the Chicago-born retailer received some complaints that it was promoting the homosexual lifestyle, an executive said recently.

The concerned citizens divined that there was a "hidden gay agenda" in Field's theme "because seven men were living together," Gregory Clark, vice president of creative services for Field's in Minneapolis, recounted last month at a Retail Advertising & Marketing Association conference in Chicago.

A few years back, Rev. Jerry Falwell went after purse-toting Teletubby Tinky Winky. More recently, conservatives accused cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants of promoting a homosexual agenda.

When Field's receives such complaints, the department store chain listens to them, Clark said. But unless it receives, say, 10,000 letters and phone calls, it doesn't change its strategy, he said.

The brouhaha over the seven dwarfs didn't bedevil Field's financial results.

The chain finished the year with a 3 percent rise in same-store sales.

"We've turned it around," Clark said.

Last July, Target Corp. sold Field's to May Department Stores Co., which is now being acquired by Federated Department Stores Inc.

Federated owns Macy's and Bloomingdale's, and it's widely expected that Federated will phase out the Field's name in favor of Macy's.

A good read: Levenger Co., which sells "tools for serious readers," is talking to Field's about opening a third store-within-a-store, possibly in Minneapolis. The Delray Beach, Fla., company opened a boutique in Field's flagship State Street store in Chicago in September 2003 and last year added a second boutique in Field's Water Tower Place store in Chicago.

Federated worries: One frontline Field's worker in Chicago said her shoppers "can't imagine anything but Marshall Field's in Chicago."

Chicago store employees, however, are more concerned about how the merger will affect their pocketbooks.

"Field's is only a name, but we hope the benefits stay good," said the employee, who asked not to be identified. Some workers were disappointed when May bought Field's because they could no longer be in Target's stock program, she said.

Sears' future: UBS Securities analyst Gary Balter last week raised his target prices on Kmart Holding Corp. stock from $100 to $160 and on Sears, Roebuck and Co. from $50 to $66.50. The retailers plan to merge later this month to form Sears Holdings Corp.

Part of his justification stems from future asset sales by Sears. "We believe there are some significant assets for sale, including Lands' End, Orchard Supply, Canadian operations, that probably don't fit, and excess real estate that doesn't fit," Balter told Bloomberg News last week. Orchard Supply Hardware is Sears' West Coast hardware chain.

As for Sears Holdings as a long-term investment, Balter said the key is execution.

"Sears has some very good brand names. Kmart has some very good brand names," Balter said. "We don't accept the view that just because Wal-Mart or Target are bigger that this can't be successful."
