How nasty can you get without alerting the Secret Service?
I'm serious. Martinez's phone was OFF all day and the creepy shit voted in favor of ruining Alaska.

I want to send him a really nasty letter but I don't know how far I can go. I know I can't send any threats but can I say, (like I said in a previous thread). "May you be eaten by a Polar Bear"? Or "I hope a heard of Caribou run over your head"?

Just wondering. I'm about to write to that mutant clump of molecules.

1. A guy was arrested for telling a joke in a bar about a burning bush
I don't recall if he actually had any jail time or not. But that sounds like you can't go very far without alerting the Secret Service.

And then, of course, we have our own Secret Service agent watching DU. Say hello, Agent Mike!

5. You can write a strongly-worded letter without getting violent
The trick is to be angry, but reasonable.

Here's the one I sent to Akaka today....

Dear Senator Akaka:

Your vote against the Cantwell amendment to strip the ANWR provision out of the budget is a shameful, disgusting and cynical move. Nothing enrages me more than seeing democrats once again aiding and abetting this lying, corrupt and morally repugnant administration. Just two democratic votes—yours along with Landrieu's or Inouye's—could have removed this dubious item from the bill. But instead of protecting the wildlife refuge set aside by President Eisenhower, you chose to side with Big Oil, casting your vote to allow them to rape and pillage one of the last remaining pristine lands in this once beautiful nation. I have no doubt that if oil were discovered in the Grand Canyon or underneath Washington's skull on Mount Rushmore, you would vote to allow Exxon to drill there, too.

As you can see, I am not from Hawaii, so I know you will not respond to this. It is doubtful my letter will even cross your desk. But on the off chance that you do happen to read this, please know that drilling ANWR does not concern just the citizens of Hawaii, but all Americans. Limiting your correspondence to your constituents on matters of national importance is almost—but not quite—as cynical as the vote you cast today.

Shame on you.

7. Back in the 30's, sometimes it would take 2 days for them to pass
your tent/igloo/house whatever. I just finished reading a autobiography of a Hudson Bay trading company worker from the 30s.

8. Don't suggest that YOU will do something illegal
You could even suggest that they don't deserve to be tortured, maimed, boiled, stapled, castrated, bodily parts pierced or anything like that.

It would be better if their hair was badly cut and infested with parasites. That their body odor became medically impossible to cure and they develop lesions that ooze with putrid liquid.

9. Martinez's human rights record is -77.5
Tell him he is the enemy of the country and of humanity and that you will let others know the truth about him. The truth is often the best tool to use.

Here's the chart.

on you.

trust me. it's true.

I don;t know what they do about e mails, but I'm sure they've figured out a way to open those files and have a clerk identifying the true identity.

13. Is the Secret Service charged with protecting a US Senator?
Forgive my ignorance, but I thought the Secret Service only protected the US President, Vice-President, and Saudi Embassy?

Please enlighten me!

16. TWO of my friends who have dissenting opinions on the
"HIV" hypothesis and whether or not it is a real, viable virus, (let's not start a long flame war here), were visited by the Secret Service.

I guess they are supposed to protect large pharmaceutical companies also.

... as long as you're a Republican and your nastiness is directed at the American people (especially the poor).
