Question
Can family members of the fallen soldiers sue for wrongful death? Considering we were led into war with terrible lies???

1. No. Government has Immunity on the issue.
And it's not like those guys signed up based on the WMD crap. They were already in the military, subject to whatever crap the Chimp wanted to throw at 'em.

2. No
Nor should they be able to. Remember, there is more at stake here than this war...there it the integrity of the chain of command that has to be preserved thru this one for the next one. or don't you think there will be another war where we will need to raise an army.

4. Interesting Response.
I somewhat agree, but your wording was interesting.

5. What if the chain-of-command is fatally flawed?
The chain-of-command is currently so corrupt that the whole system is suspect. The chain-of-command signed off on the likes of Abu Ghraib and Halliburton's no-bid windfalls. The current chain-of-command can dish it out, but it cannot stand one iota of scrutiny.

3. I asked that a while ago - most responses said there is a
stipulation of some sort that you can't sue the government.

I don't remember where it is though.

6. We brought that from England
paraphrased: You can't sue the King.

The President can't be sued. Yet another reason Clinton should not have had to deal with testifying. It is his own fault for not using the power of the president to stop the witch hunt in its tracks. I hope that he did not permanently weaken the office.

7. It was on a episode of Boston legal
This guy who had relatives in Sudan wanted to sue the government for not stopping the genocide because the world wasn't intervening because the US said they were going to stop everything like that.

They were arguing that the US government can't be held liable for any deaths related to foreign policity or some such BS.
