Health Care: whose plan do you favor, and why?
I want universal, single-payer insurance, so Kucinich is my choice on that issue.

AZ primaries coming up, this is a big issue for me--sell me your candidate's plan.

Please don't repeat the info on their websites; I've already read through them all.

1. I liked Dennis' plan
also, Kerry says that he will open up the same healthcare (primo) Congress receives on our taxpayers' dollars, to all who want to participate.

That can be done right away.

Edwards' plan sounds about the same as Kerry's, and I would happily support JE for President as well if he gets the nomination.

2. The Bush plan is pretty good
if enough people die in war it makes room in the hospitals.

4. Kucinich's for sure
It's the only one that is about providing health CARE rather than insurance.

6. Kucinich easily..
How long are we going to argue who has less DLCness instead of going with the true voice of the people?

8. For a health plan I'd trust an MD, especially if he/she has a brain
(which is not terribly frequent, sorry).

9. So sell me on his plan . . .
Like I say, I like Kucinich's plan, but it doesn't have a prayer.

In the meantime, I fear losing coverage everyday, as I have multiple heath problems. If I'm uninsured, I'm gonna die--that pretty much sums it up.

So give me your best on Dr. Dean's, please.

14. well I wouldn't trust one who wants to leave 10 million uninsured.
Also one that says we need more studies on medical marijuana. Obviously that type of Doctor isn't paying attention to reality.

Miles ahead of the pack on health care.

100% of America.
Decisions made by doctors, not bureaucrats. So patients can actually get care as well as "coverage."

13. Here are two professional analyses of each candidates' plan
My preferred and really the only one I like is Kucinich's. Here is the plan itself:
http://www.house.gov/kucinich/issues/health.htm#Universal%20Health%20Care

Under Kucinich’s plan, phased in over a ten-year period, medical care will be privately delivered but publicly funded. Kucinich is the candidate whose health care plan has been endorsed by the Physicians for National Health Care Program (which published the first major single payer proposal in the New England Journal of Medicine in 1989). The PNHP and Congressman Jim McDermott requested detailed plans from every candidate and examined them- Kucinich’s plan was singled out as "by far the most comprehensive, because it guarantees coverage to all Americans and overhauls the health care finance system. It would also do the best job of controlling costs among the Presidential contenders’ plans."

It has also received one of the 2 passing marks from JustHealthCare:

15. Kucinich has the best plan - fiscally balanced and universal coverage
Only Kucinich will cover everyone for what we're paying now.

Only Kucinich will leverage the buying power of the government to get the best medicine pricing.

Only Kucinich will get rid of the bloat and waste privatization has unleashed upon us, with its multiple ponzi schemes to make select CEOs rich at the cost of the health of millions.

Only Kucinich will get everyone in the nation into a single pool of insureds, truly lessening the burden on everyone by spreading the risk among us all.

Only Kucinich has the answer on health care.

Fear Ends
Hope Begins

We have to cut the profit out. We can't afford to subsidize stock options and high executive salaries. This is healthcare, not a product for sale.

Everyone else in the modernized world seems to have figured this one out already.
