Why do right-wingers insist on "playing God"?
This woman in Florida has been in a persistent vegetative state for 14 years. Let her die for God's sake.

How many times have you heard people say things like "God took my baby away" or "It must have been that God needed my son in Heaven" or someting similar?

Who's to say that God hasn't been calling her for 14 years now and everyone has been keeping her alive despite His decision to take her?

Just let her die.

4. Delusions of Grandeur.....Goes with the territory.
I think all people who would like to be a part of strong, domineering, patriarchal societies tend to be drawn into the Fundie, RW, Self-loathing, mysogynistic, Repuke Party. It is the result of a lack of self-confidence and insecurity about one's manliness, or in the case of a female, a wish to be a man or man-like.
How's that for pop psychology?

5. they think god's ok, but if it were up to them they'd do a better job
their arrogance is astounding--and yet they think they are Christians. When are they going to follow the example of Christ's humility?

6. Never.
Christ is more like a cult figure than a mentor. They are more into the "blood of Christ" than the man himself and his teachings.

IOW, they are effin' weird.

7. they think god is stupid
thats why they think they need bumper stickers telling him who to bless. Sometimes the x-tians who wear their faith like a shield, or announce it with neon flashing signs, really have very little actual faith. It's all show, and I don't know who they trying to convince the most, me or themselves.

9. Their record doesn't add up because...
as with the war in Iraq they kill more people than they save.
