Hey, I have the same compassion problem ... I want to be nice, take the high ground, show empathy.

Trust me on this: I work and live among some of the most right wing folks you'd ever care to meet. Many of them I grew up with in my family. And know this = Consider these people *possessed* because they will NOT compromise ... Ever!

Please know that ANY sign of kindness will be used against you in the future. Do not show the right wing your underbelly or they will figuratively gut you in a heartbeat. They will NOT allow their side to lose because that's what "their god" and "Dear Leaders" want.

I know many folks here think I'm cold and unfeeling to even moderates, much less the right wing. The reason for that is because our "well intended" moderates, are for all practical purposes, Bush Co. enablers.

Ask yourself, has there been ANY true compromises in the Congress? There will not be either as long as the republicans are in the majority.

Yes, we will lose, especially until after the 2006 elections. How about we encourage our representatives to FIGHT and at least maintain a shred of dignity? Why? Because like I mentioned before, the republicans do NOT compromise. You might as well raise hell and get your voice heard, aye?
