2. Good god, TrustingDog. You mean there ARE Bush supporters --
-- on DU? Hell, I had no idea.

Well, if there are Bush lovers around, they aren't going to like anything I've said in reference to the current president, which, by way of brief summary, ranges from "imbelic half-wit shit-for-brains monster" to "ethically vacuous fool."

9. I wonder if it's a case of varying opinions on life support issues --
-- as opposed to outright endorsement of Dubya.

16. Hi, Walt Starr. You mean folks wanting to restore the --
-- feeding tube are * supporters? Probably there are some Democrats on board that train, but it seems like most DUers are ardently anti-Bush.

I was ardently anti-Bush before the Schiavo case hit the fan this week, but recent grandstanding by DeLay, Bush, etc. have just deepened my disregard for the Far Right.

6. I've seen many threads in support of feeding the Bush agenda 'life'
Edited on Sun Mar-20-05 07:31 PM by TrustingDog
definition. The Crawford pig farmer (no offense to real pig farmers, big offense to the corporate factories ones tho) was supposed to fly in on a sows ear silk purse to speak about this important 'life' matter?

Was I on another board and didn't realise it?

8. people can disagree on an issue
and not be bush supporters. Especially a complex issue that has touched many peoples' lives in an agonizing way.

Now if they were applauding the Bankruptcy Bill, the destruction of Social Security, the drilling in Anwr and a bunch of other issues as well - then I would agree with you.

14. not saying that bush is right
or that the politicization of the case is good (and I am torn - and have posted about the hypocrisy - in case you needed my bonifides - since your post is so quick to label others) ... however per the sympathy and torn emotions on the topic - the lingering questions on details that some people have expressed... those things do not necessarily indicate "bush supporter". We just disagree on this.

17. I am not that quick to label..
Let me say this again more slooooooowwwwly.

Bush uses people and their base emotions and great big fat lies, rather than reason and thought. Agreed?

Now why is it So ununderstandable that people's emotions here were Used for his agenda. Not direct supporters, I've already said that, but what some of you did with KNEE JERK emotional reactions is what his fundie crowd does and He Loves It.

the Iraqi childrens right to life should have 100 threads a day, the right for americans not to have to endure hardships so Halliburton can scam a few more millions illegally rather than by contract (as if That isn't enough), the US childrens rights should have a Thousand threads all emotional and kicking, the world poverty issue should have a million threads.... along with GMs, etc. etc.

you are being SUCKERED in to being a Bush supporter.

5. The"DU bush supporter " is a rare animal.
I'm not sure it's physically or mentally possible to be both a DU'er and a bush supporter at the same time.

Being a DU'er and a repub who is disgusted with bush and the neocons is more likely.
