Rep. John Linder (R-GA) Web Site poll re: "Appreciating" The Troops

Linder is the author of the "National Sales Tax" bill that's waiting in the wings, F.Y.I...the one Bush DENIED interest in during the election (after expressing interest).

What is the best way that citizens can show support for our troops serving overseas?

1). Donate prepaid calling cards so troops overseas can call home, 25%

2). Send a care package as a reminder they are appreciated at home, 34%

I thought the official repub party line was that the troops were coming home tanned, wealthy, well-rested, and eager to put their newly-found trades to use in the public sector.
