Tom Delay and republicans are assuming way to much
If the bill is tellling the judge how to rule then it is atomatically unconstitutional. This judge more than likely will put a stay on the law so that it can't go into affect. That is because the constitutionality of the law will be chalanged. Also, a decision by the state court has already been made, and that decision will be looked at by the federal courts. We should be using those sickening republican talking points against them, and showing the US people how sick and stupid the majority party in congress really is. I don't care about the issue to much, eventhough it is sad, but the fact that this story is taking up so much time is pissing me off. Wasn't there huge anti-war rallies over the weekend in many different parts of the world? Why weren't they reported on. We are forgetting about this war and the soldiers, because it hasn't affected us as a majority yet. Amazing.
1,500 Lives vs. 1
Tom Delay and the other republicans should be ashamed. They know nothing of the constituion and are sick individuals.

1. "Should"? The Republicans have no shame.
I thought that was obvious.

2. Do you really believe the judge will be chosen at random?
I think this is one of the major reasons ShrubCo is fighting so hard to get their Fed judges appreved. If they get lucky and get an activist judge on this, they will get him/her to overturn the Fl decisions.

3. You're missing the whole point of this
Republicans fear midterm losses

Analysts at the Republican National Committee have sent this warning to the House of Representatives: The party is in danger of losing 25 seats in the 2006 election and, therefore, of losing control of the House for the first time since the 1994 election.

Although some Republicans on Capitol Hill believe the RNC is just trying to frighten them, concern about keeping the present 232-202 edge pervades GOP ranks. The second midterm election of an eight-year presidency often produces heavy congressional losses for the party in power.

A footnote: Rep. Christopher Shays, re-elected from his Connecticut district last year with 52 percent, is considered by colleagues as the most vulnerable Republican incumbent. Other especially shaky GOP House members include Jim Gerlach of Pennsylvania and Rob Simmons of Connecticut.

This is all red meat for the fundies and to get them out to vote next year (to perpetuate our sacred theocracy).
