LISTEN TO THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM NORTH CAROLINA

He is making a wonderful argument about compasion and asking the Republicans were they were when the issue of health care for blacks was being taken up. He smaked down the Republicans in hiw two minutes and made a very good argument. He went over what I have been asking for a few days, which is how much this time is costing us the tax payer. He pointed out that this money could have been used to save other people who are starving in our streets today. This law will be found unconstitutional and will be thrown out on Monday. The federal courts will not allow themselves to be told what to do by Congress. Delay and his bretherin are idiots and have no idea what they are talking about. No fedreal law protects Terri and the 14th amendment can't be used because this is not an issue of commerce. What pisses me off is how stupid everyone is concerning this issue, and how the media is basically playing dumb. I mean the media is attacking Michael for no reason and is asking questions like, "Why can't this case go to federal court?" BECAUSE IT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Jesus how many times must this be said before it gets into peoples brains. This is a privacy issue and I ask you, would this issue be brought up if this woman was black?

I'm also glad to see that we had one representative from MO speak out against this.

They want to control us all, every aspect of our lives. They just don't get the idea of compassion at all. It was a wonderful statement that he made!

Unfortunately, the flip side of having a wonderful representative like Mel Watt in the House is that the 12th Congressional District which was created in NC carved out a lot of Democrats from the surrounding districts to make a "safe" Democratic district designed to have a majority African American population. Thus, districts such as the 9th are even safer for Republicans meaning that Democrats or even moderate Republicans need not apply. So we get stuck with the truly abominable Sue Myrick in the 9th.

Still, Mel Watt is the best! I'm proud that he is my Congressman!
