some crazy things i noticed in the news this week
I heard a report on a new drug that will give cancer patients two more months of life(12 months instead of 10 months) but the big side effect is coughing up blood. They expect the drug company to make BILLIONS from this drug. One improvement they will make is to choose their patients more carefully to avoid those who might be prone to coughing up blood. Well, I guess those people don't get those extra minutes of life!!

Also on the news it said that Rhenquist was going back to work. His MOTORCADE drove him to work. Since when do supreme court justices need MOTORCADEs to go to work?

Bush had to WAKE UP AT 1 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING to sign the bill for avoiding the constitution and keeping Terri Schaivo's body alive against her will. MY GOD THE SACRIFICE OF THE MAN!!

1. The Leader is a Godly and Noble Man
If he distrubed the Godly Sleep of the Saintly and Just to sign that bill, it must have been the right thing to do

</sarcasm off> (because there's always one person who thinks you're serious)

3. for some time now, I've had this hunch that the cure for cancer . . .
is probably in the vault of some pharmaceutical company or other . . . but since the money comes from treating and not curing, it will likely never see the light of day . . .

4. I've always thought they were barking up the wrong tree.
I think it's genetic.
Smoking or dipping, yes, isn't good for you, but not everyone who imbibes gets cancer and some who don't, do. I think it aggravates a gene, myself.

5. i'm pretty sure it's been proven to be genetic.
but that would connote doing stem cell research, would it not? O.o

no, they don't want that. they don't want people curing cancer. treating is too much money.
