New 'Non-Partisan' 'Voting Rights' Org Appears to be Little More than Republican Front Group!
6-Day Old Tax-Exempt Group Run by High Level GOP Operatives!

Setup just last Thursday, the "American Center for Voting Rights", a new tax-exempt 501(c)3 "Voting Rights" group, was called to testify at yesterday's U.S. House Administrative Committee hearings in Columbus, OH on problems in the 2004 Election.

But as we've seen too many times of late, this group appears to be little more than a GOP front group hastily created to stave off Electoral Reform and "Voter Rights".

Early BRAD BLOG investigation shows that both the group's leader attorney Mark F. (Thor) Hearne, II and their communications director, Jim Dyke, are long-time high-level Republican operatives employeed by Bush/Cheney and the national Republican Party...

I know some Republicans who want election reform as well. They want paper ballots and a national ballot. They could lose some people in their party if they monkey around too much.

No way...

Great to see this. It shows that we are on to their tricks....I think they truely must be desperate if they are going to these extremes to try to nuetralize voting reform. What does that tell the American people about their agenda?

I hope this gets amped all over the Internet....would be a great story for Air America to prick up on. Expose these corrupt bastards from sidetracking our right to vote these bastards out of office.

Just had an email exchange with someone in Boston. She, too, has forwarded this info to Rep. Conyer's staff.

mentioning the Mighty Texas Task Force operating from a Columbus Hilton right around the corner from Columbus GOP headquaters on Nov. 2. I reminded them there are witnesses. Others should do the same.

I'd love to know...

Remember, this organization claims to have tax-exempt status. Which means that they are responsible to you, the tax payer.
