Letter From US News & World Report On SS- Sounds Good To me
I took mom to the doctor for an appointment, so I read the most recent issue I saw (2-21-05). (I left a copy of "The Progressive," and "The Nation." ) A letter read as follows:

"Currently, no Social Security taxes are collected on incomes above the $90,000-a-year maximum. Eliminating this cap and assuring all Americans pay an equal precentage of their income into the Social Security trust fund will ensure a healthy and stable program forever."

I tore out that page, brought it home, and now I've posted it here. Also, I get Newsweek, and the AARP had a full-page ad, with a number to call legislators and tell them you oppose privatizing of SS. I did that, and offered the idea mentioned in the above letter. What do you think?
