Does anybody else remember the now infamous interview by Tucker Carlson to the then Governor goober peas of Texas? When asked by Carlson on the eve of Ms. Tucker's impending execution, "If Carla Faye Tucker could say something to you, what do you think she would say?", to which the smirking chimp broke out into a huge chuckle and said "Don't kill me, don't kill me", once again breaking himself up into delighted laughter. It seems that bush* and the rest of his fascist minions only think life is precious when it revs up their fanatical, christian conservative base and is inconvenient if a black infant may drain the coffers of his precious Texas republic.
Not lost on many of us is also the fact that the very stem cell research that he banned may have had some future benefits for many of the 50,000 people in hospitals, nursing homes and hospices across this country suffering a similar diagnosis such as Terri Shiavo. Not to mention 100,000 Iraqis dead, thousands of young Americans dead or blown to bits for a war solely based on lies and a blood lust for oil. He is anti-abortion, but it's open season on 12 year old children in this country who kill their grandparents because they're overdosed on adult anti-depressant drugs. He relished his time as govenor of Texas "euthanizing" those on death row that declared their born again christian status to no avail. And this is the man that we now have in the White House espousing family values and the "culture of life". The hypocrisy is astonishing. It would be a fascinating study in the sociopathy of one United States president if it weren't so tragic. I hope Mrs. Shiavo will at long last be granted her wish and be allowed to slip away in some measure of peace. A peaceful passing will be all that was granted her, as her dignity was stripped away long time ago by the politicians, attorneys, religious zealots, and the media.
