...and all the King's horses and all the King's men...
couldn't put Humpty together again. This Schiavo affair, along with the ongoing defeat on "privatization" of Social Security has fractured the Republican Party. What do they do to re-group and gather their forces?

1. Not if we don't let them
We have to keep up the pressure now, strike while the iron is still hot. If we can keep the pressure on them and keep these two failures in the public eye then they won't regroup.

4. Bingo.
Desperation is what drives the cabal.
What little grasp on truth, rationality and facts they had before now, expect to be entirely overrun by hate and spite and bile.

Open season on anyone who doesn't agree with them, and that mood will osmose to the rest of 'Murka which has no outlet for it's frustrations over the sucky economy, the coffins coming back from Iraq, and all the other aggrivations Bush has stoked in us.

It's gonna get REAL ugly.

5. They are notorious for playing the blame game.
That will start soon. It will be a blood-in-the-water feeding frenzy. None will accept responsibility for the way things are going and all will frantically look for someone else to blame. That is the GOP way. Hell, I bet 'ole Bill Clinton has something to do with the sorry state of affairs within the GOP. Or his member does.

10. And Toxic-Tom Delay is claiming to be the biggest victim of all!
I still think that this whole thing was orchestrated by Karl Rove to hatchet the now-embarrassing (to the GOP) Tom Delay. But Delay isn't a victim. As the Christine Lavin song goes he is a "fucking volunteer."

9. Mission Accomplished was the official shark jump, but the corporate media
has been propping them up ever since.
Some shows they just don't cut, no matter what the ratings.

11. I'm inclined to agree, but I'm talking about the moment
when the majority of the country just shrugs and pretty much ignores the final whimpering days of this administration.

12. Maybe, dunno. Unlike a tv show this admin has the power to ruin lives
I do think the majority already know their true nature, but I don't think ignoring them is going to result from that knowledge.
At least I hope not!
